Ashley Fuller Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California on June 13, 1986. She is an American actress, business woman, and clothing and accessories designer.
She started working in show business as a baby of nine months on the hit TV series "Full House" in 1987, with her identical twin sister Mary Kate. They both played the role of Michelle Tanner, sharing the part. Ashley also has an older brother and a younger sister. Her parents divorced and her father is now remarried. After the end of "Full House" in 1995, Ashley, along with her twin Mary Kate joined forces with Robert Thorne and created their own production company "Dualstar", was made to produce and sell movies, magazines, video games, etc.
In 2004, they became CEOs of the company. Also, during the filming of and following "Full House", Ashley and her sister made a string of movies that went straight to video, and are popular selling films to this day. They created two video series called "You're Invited to Mary Kate and Ashley's..." and "The Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley". They were main characters in the film "It Takes Two" (1995) also on two other TV series "Two of a Kind" (1998) and "So Little Time" (2001). Both shows were short lived Ashley's popularity didn't cease.
Ashley also has experience in the fashion industry, starting with the collaboration with Wall-Mart moving up to be the face of high end designer line "Badgley Mishka", before finally starting her own fashion line with her sister, called "The Row". Following the success of "The Row" they produced yet another fashion collection called "Elisabeth & James", which represents a more vintage and contemporary pieces. Although she was accepted to New York University which she started attending in the fall of 2004, Ashley decided to leave in 2007, a year before she was to graduate.
